Free app for trimming and converting videos
Last updated: 2026-09-19
Video Editor is made possible by commercial and open-source software from other developers. We're grateful to the authors and maintainers whose work helps the app open, edit, and export videos. This page summarizes the main components and links to the license texts included with the app; the license texts themselves remain authoritative.
Video Editor reads, trims, converts, and writes video files with Mediabunny, a media toolkit by Vanilagy. Version 1.58.0 is included unmodified and is provided under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Its source code is available from the upstream v1.58.0 tag and the npm package for 1.58.0.
Video Editor serves Roboto and a Video Editor-specific subset of Material Symbols Outlined from its own site. These fonts are provided under the Apache License 2.0.
Video Editor's application code, video adapters, product name and artwork, written content, and build and test code are Visware material unless a file or directory includes another notice.
The release package contains the applicable license files and notices. If a distributed copy is missing a notice or resource referenced here, contact Support.
